FAMILY THERAPY

``Your power is in what you do, not in what other people do.`` - Nancy Harmon, LCMHC

Building on skills learned in couple’s and individual therapy, family relationships can heal as well. Each person’s perspective is valid. The goal of couple’s or family therapy is not to prove who is right. We are all right from our own perspective. The goal of family therapy is to understand each other’s perspectives so we each have a better understanding of each other and the situation. We can either be right, or be in a relationship. If we insist on being right, we will do it at the expense of the relationship. But remember we are all right from our own perspective.
