Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Westminster College in Utah. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah.
Nancy has been working in the mental health field since 2003. She believes strongly in the emotional healing process and believes in the ability to not only overcome painful life experiences but to be a stronger person because of these difficult experiences. Nancy believes in one’s innate ability to heal from emotional wounding and feels privileged to be able to guide and support this process. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has worked in residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings.
Nancy has advanced training working with complex trauma, dissociation, PTSD, substance abuse/addiction, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, self-image, and empowerment. She has facilitated multiple trauma groups, and has group experience teaching healthy relationships, healthy sexuality, body image, DBT, and Relapse Prevention. She has had the opportunity to present at two conferences on trauma and recovery.
Nancy is a member of Psi Chi- The National Honor Society in Psychology, The EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), Utah Mental Health Counselor’s Association, and American Mental Health Counselor’s Association.
